Scientific Observation of the Effects of the Internet on Home Life

Since I have worked with and on the Internet these past few years I feel that my technique of acquiring information has changed. I am finding that I am reading an average of 3 to 5 traditional books at the same time. Each book habitating a separate room in the house. Each containing different topics or subject matter. Once I am settled in particular room, my attention is drawn to the specific book that co-habitates this room. I am finding that the realm of knowledge I am obtaining is totally diverse in comparison to years ago when I would stick to one novel until it was read completely. I feel that the discipline to focus on one topic at a time has diminished, and that my hunger for new and constantly upgraded information has quadrupled in nature. Have I been effected or have learned a new way to acquire new information. Most certainly!
